Mercedes isn’t interested in hitting the breaks on its electric vehicle lineup expansion. The German automaker has just introduced the EQE mid-sized performance sedan which is expected to arrive in 2023.
Even though the Mercedes-AMG EQE is designed as a mid-size family sedan, it is packed with enough power – as you’d expect from anything AMG is involved with. The fully-electric EQE churns out 617 horsepower and 701 pound-feet of torque in its base trim and an amped up 677 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque with the AMG Dynamic Plus Package performance trim. Top speeds are pegged at 137 mph and 149 mph respectively, with the former achieving 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds while the latter doesn’t the same in 3.2 seconds.
The Mercedes-AMG EQE will come with a battery pack that has the capacity to achieve 321 miles in total driving range, with 170kW charging to make 112 miles after replenishing for just 15 minutes.
Furthermore, the performance sedan will come with other features like the All-Wheel-Drive AMG Performance 4MATIC+ system, AMG Ride Control+ suspension system supporting adaptive adjustable damping, AMG high-performance braking system, rear-axle steering, AMG-specific exterior upgrades, and a variety of interior options that include MB-Tex or nappa leather upholstery, and an optional Hyperscreen.
Pricing information for the Mercedes-AMG EQE will be announced closer to the 2023 market launch. Check out the official photos below.
