Lucid Motors has just taken the wraps off its latest model, a high-performance trim of the Lucid Air called the Sapphire.
The new Air Sapphire features a three-motor powertrain with two at the rear and one up front to produce a monstrous 1,200 horsepower, which allows for a 0-60 mph time of less than 2 seconds and a top speed of 200 mph.This is paired with carbon ceramic brakes, a new aerodynamic package, sport seats, and a track-tuned suspension.
The EV also features updated tuning for the ABS, traction, stability control, and power steering to complement the ginormous increase in power. Final horsepower numbers and range will be announced at a later date.
Reservations for the Lucid Air Sapphire will be available on August 23, and pricing starts at $249,000 USD.
